Today is the last day of Early Voting. Here is why that is important...
Early Voting turnout makes a difference – Today is the last day of Early Voting. Statistically, school bond measures have a higher probability of approval when early voting traffic is high. So, encourage everyone to skip the lines on Election Day this Saturday and VOTE EARLY!
Continue to educate & encourage staff to vote – Continue to remind staff that bond funds are designated solely for purposes such as new construction, facility upgrades, and technology enhancements, and do not impact staff compensation. However, facility improvements financed through bond funds can lead to operational efficiencies, which may result in cost savings. These savings could potentially be redirected towards staff compensation, such as salary adjustments or hiring additional staff. For example, energy-efficient facilities can reduce electricity costs, and the savings from these reduced expenses could be allocated to enhance staff compensation. The school district is typically the largest employer in town. Staff participation in the election can make an enormous difference in the outcome of your election. So, continue to remind everyone that there is a school bond measure on the ballot and that it is imperative they exercise their right to vote.
